Book Quartet Fretboards

I had cut the fretboards several inches longer than need be so I could add a bit of decoration on one end and clamp them to a saw horse for rough sanding on the other.

I apparently forgot to snap pictures of the fret marker process, but it's as straight forward as you'd imagine.  Draw an x to find the center, use an awl to mark it, drill just a bit shallower than the dots, glue, and sand.

I used ceramic dots here but previously have used wood and pure silver.

Cutting the fret slots.  The kerf of this saw is .02"

It's important to make sure that the kerf of the saw and the tang of the fret wire are the same or the frets will pop out.
